Screens emit blue light, a high-energy light that can cause damage to the retina and disrupt our sleep cycle. The symptoms of eye strain include dry eyes, headaches, eye pain and blurred vision. It can also contribute to visual problems such as myopia, astigmatism and presbyopia.

Protecting your eye health day to day in Fez, Morocco
A few simple habits are often enough to preserve your eye health. Apply the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes of screen time, look at something about 6 metres away for 20 seconds, and remember to blink regularly to avoid dryness. Take care of the lighting at your workstation, avoid glare and keep a comfortable distance from the screen. Outdoors, protect your eyes from UV rays with quality sunglasses. A diet rich in omega-3 and in vitamins A, C and E, as well as good hydration, also contribute to the health of your eyes. Finally, a regular eye examination makes it possible to detect any problems early, even in the absence of discomfort.
